The Government’s first few weeks of turbulence was in fact only a taster of things to come, with a litany of mishaps unfolding since then.
Top of the list in this regard must be Golf Gate – a PR blunder of gargantuan proportions which resulted in the loss of an EU commissioner and Minister for Agriculture, and a public outcry around the perceived arrogance of such establishment figures in flouting public health guidelines.
