The headline story from today’s poll is a rise in satisfaction with both the Government and Micheál Martin as Taoiseach, and a counter-balancing drop in satisfaction with Leo Varadkar as Tánaiste.
Correspondingly, support for Fianna Fáil has increased three points since October, with Fine Gael support dropping four points over the same period.
It is perhaps no surprise that Micheál Martin and Fianna Fáil’s standing has improved amongst the electorate given the ongoing easing of restrictions and related good news emanating from the Taoiseach’s office around an imminent vaccination programme.
