Coca Cola bottlers has an enviable range of soft drinks brands in Ireland North and South, but their packaging for their bottled water brand Deep River Rock seemed increasingly out of step with the market.
We were tasked with assessing consumer perceptions of the market and providing actionable insight for the packaging design team.
We used a phased series of qualitative research projects to feed into the design process. We conducted an exhaustive review of current and emergent designs using materials drawn from other categories and international markets.
Within 6 months, Deep River Rock launched new packaging which stimulated a massive increase in sales and, combined with a new communications strategy, successfully repositioned the brand as a major player.
