THE PRINTS
Describing her work as ‘loosely botanical’ Gráinne’s three powerful etchings for B&A – ‘Petal Sweep’, ‘Petals Papillon’ and ‘Petal Billow’ – investigate the hidden drama and exuberance of a sweet pea flower in blossom. By highlighting the many subtle and constrasting aspects of its sensuous curves and folds, each print bears witness to the variety, depth and fragility of the flower’s intense chromatic ‘inscape’.
