Uncertain times ahead as consumer confidence falls to its lowest point in six years.
As we enter Qtr 4 2019 consumers are becoming increasingly anxious about the country’s economic outlook, as consumer confidence drops to its lowest point since 2013 (-22).
Consumer confidence has fallen both in Dublin and across the rest of the country, with those outside Dublin being most concerned about the country’s economic outlook.
Looking specifically at the latest consumer confidence results, the decline in optimism is evident across all demographics; with women, the 55+ age group, farmers and those living in Connaught & Ulster regions being least confident about the future economy.
