Disposable Income and Consumer Confidence has Improved

Disposable income and consumer confidence has improved but an air of caution is evident throughout the country.

Consumer confidence is showing a positive improvement (+3% pts) following the sharp decline experienced at the beginning of the year.
The upturn in consumer confidence is backed by an increase in perceived disposable income, which now peaks 2018 values.
This improvement in consumer confidence and perceived disposable income does not however signal any dramatic improvement in the current economic circumstances of Irish consumers, as an air of caution is clearly evident.
