Cautionary Optimism : Consumer Confidence Tracker
As we start 2018 the macro economy is trading positively but the hangover of the recession still appears to be impacting the psyche of Irish consumers.
Overall consumer confidence during the first quarter of 2018 has remained relatively stable and is similar to the average level for 2017. Thus, cautious optimism is evident.
Looking specifically at Qtr 1 2018 consumer confidence levels, blue collar (C2DE) consumers and those living outside Dublin are showing an improved sense of optimism, while ABC1s and Dubliners remain consistent in their outlook.
